Hercules, Eurytheus, and The 12 Labores
I have interviewed
a gigantic stro
ng man, Hercules a few weeks ago.
He has to finish 12 labores. He
is truely a big, gigantic strong man he is also a great warrior who defend the
poor and the weak. Hercules is also
known beating up big mythical monsters that is causing trouble. Hercules also married Megara a beautiful
mortal which he fell in love with.
Later on Megara gave birth to 2 healthy childrens. Both Hercules And Megara were really happy
with their two childrens. But sadly
their lives was not really happy.
The
evil Hera sent a spell that made Hecules mad and was really rageful. Wtihout his consciousness Hercules killed
his two childrens and killed his wife Megara.
When Hercules regained his conciousness he was very terrified of what he
had done.
Hercules
then went to Apollo. Hercules asked for
a heavy punishment to get rid of him, but Apollo has another suggestion. Hercules could be forgiven and he could
forget his past by doing the twelve labors.
Apollo was a very great god so he has many responsibilities for taking
care of the world.
Apollo was the god of healing, music, poetry, and also archery. The people in Greek believed that Apollo
knows the future and always gives people the right choice to pick on. Hercules then came back to the temple where
he met Apollo the first time. Hercules
than met Apollo in the town of Delphiand called Delphic oracle. Than Apollo told Hercules that he had to go
to the city of Tiryns. For Hercules it was a really terrible bad news. The king that ruled Tiryns was really
furious with him. The king was, really
cruel and mean. But wanting or not
wanting he had to come to the city of Tiryns.
Hercules knew that if he came there the king of Tiryns would do bad
things to him. The cruel king's name was Eurytheus. By the order of the king, Hercules had to serve him for twelve
years where he was also given labors to preform. Hercules finished all of the labors with his stregnth and
bravery. Then when the tasks were done
Hercules gained his full power and he became an immortal. Hercules then became a mighty and powerful
god.
Not
like other man that are mortals Hercules did not have to go to the underworld
with Hades. Because Hercules is an
immortal Hercules will never die. After
the 12 labors Hercules also had some other adventures also. His adventures were like rescuing a
princess fromTroy from the hungry and
scary sea monsters, or also helping zeus defeat the giants in a great battle
for the control on Olympus in which Hercules drove them away and locked them to
safety so they couldn't make any other troubles. Hercules on his adventures also was given magical gifts and was
helped through his journey.
