Persian Wars

week ago on Febuary 27, I visited the fabulaous Greeks, and I found out thet
there is a war so I went back to Jakarta.
Still, my friends stayed there for a long time, and she told me all
about it. The Persian war is a war
between the Greek city states and the Persians empire in the 5th century
bc. There results of the war changes
place between the Greeks and Urshed in an era of Greek civilization. The Per
sian empire is one of the powerfull neighbour of the Greeks.
In
490 bc, the king of Persia named Darius led a gigantic army into the Greece. it
consisted of 1000 men and the Greeks had only about 392 men Miraculosly the Greeks
won by their heavy armor thus defeating the Persians. Between 560 and 500 bc the eastern underwent great political
changes. Persia is the largest empire
in the east that has ever been seen.
In
another place a small city state in the Greece near the Aegaen sea, that was mostly govenered by aristocrates
starting making movements to start a democratic government. The most important city in there was Sparta
located on the Peloppnnesian peninsula.
Sparta
was important because it has a strong force and also formed alliance to the
Greeks. It also control most part of
the other city state that extended over the Southern Greece. (The strong power of the army, but the level
of the civilization in population) On
the other side the Greek while having a wealthy country did’nt have have a
strong military. Although they are both
from a great alliance. They had a great
different.
The
war brought about great changes including making Persia to the west to become
lose control of the western coast. Causing Athens rich, powerful and dominate
or the Greek world. The Athens dominate
the Greek sea powder and made a powerful empire that extended over the eastern
and the northern coast of the Agea. The
wars made the Greeks superior people.
In
521 BC the Persia king Darius destroyed resistance that fried to suffer his
pepole. It was a short civil war, but
very bloody. He worked to make his
country rich. He also tried to guard
and expand the country.
In
513 BC the Persians capture major Greek islands like Khios, Samos, and
Lesvos. Also in 513 BC the kind Darius
himself led the battle on Europe and conqured many areas.
The
weapons for the Greeks were heavily armed and were called hoplites. The things they use is Horse hair crest,
bronze helmet, cuirass of bronze or learther, bronze shield, short sword,
bronze greaves, and finally, a spear.
The
persian army contained archers, spearman and calvary. They bring padded jacket, spear , quiver of arrows and bows.
They kept... and kept fighting trying to
win. And finnaly the war is over, and
the Greeas won. Its a miricle, yes it
is a miricle!!!
