Sekolah Pelita Harapan International is an Early Childhood through Grade 12 National Christian School.
SPH was founded in 1992 by Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan, a not-for-profit educational foundation.  SPH exists to prepare students to become tomorrow's world citizens and leaders under God's direction.

 

We recognize that all students should experience success and that sensitivity to the unique nature of every student, as a learner, requires a commitment to provide learning programs that meet individual language and learning needs where possible.

 

We seek to instill in students a life long learning habit which flows out of inquiry-based teaching and a genuine seeking after truth.

 

We desire that our students may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:2-3)

We understand that the 'Information Age' obligates our school to provide students with the tools and skills to become competent users of technology, independent learners and critical evaluators of information.

 

We appreciate that social, physical, creative and community service activities play an important role in student development and school spirit.

 

We believe that the promotion of self discipline in a caring and compassionate environment will assist students, staff, teachers and administrators to work independently and collaboratively toward their shared purpose of providing and obtaining the best education for the whole child.
